![]() With only 0.3 megapixels, it's fine for a quick snapshot of your geriatric Jack Russell, but not something you'd capture your entire coach trip to Margate on. ![]() The camera is very much a point-and-shoot, enjoy it on the screen but don't bother printing it out, affair. So maybe you won't miss The Archers after all.īeing a Nokia, true to the firm's richly-deserved reputation, the 2660's menu is very easy to navigate, with big, bold icons on the colourful 2.8-inch main display and large buttons to help you compose text messages and punch in telephone numbers. There's also a torch, and a built-in FM Radio. The closed clamshell gives you a basic front screen which is good for checking the time and notifications, but little else. You do get SMS support, obviously it can make calls, there's some retro Nokia games, and a camera. There's a very basic internet browser - which probably won't be used in practice - a Facebook browser which is actually just a link to a rudimentary web interface and some games.Īnd there's no point checking, I didn't forget to include it, there's no Whatsapp support. Not that you'd use much data, because there's essentially no apps either. ![]() You'd need to rely on your data plan from one of two on-board sim slots. Let's bear in mind the 2660 Flip is not a smartphone. There's no touch-screen either, but it's not as if this is a device with a pre-loaded back catalogue of The Archers and a holder for a bus pass, the 2660 could pass muster as a compact dumb phone anyone of any age could slip into a pocket or a bag. Flip phones are proving popular with tech-savvy seniors because the mic and earpiece are closer to the user. So you'll see big buttons, a dedicated emergency button, and it's compatible with hearing aids. Nokia has peppered its newcomer with what it refers to as "accessibility features" which, I won't beat about the bush, set its target market up at the more senior end of the spectrum.
